At North Park School, our goal is to provide a nurturing, well-rounded education that meets the academic, social, and physical needs of our students. As educators we constantly strive for excellence. We are committed to providing our students with a challenging academic program aligned to the California Common Core State Standards that enable all students to achieve to their fullest potential. All of our teachers are trained in the latest Brain Based Direct Instruction strategies, which are designed to maximize the learning potential of all students. We also encourage our students to learn and follow the Six Pillars of Character (Caring, Citizenship, Fairness, Respect, Responsibility and Trustworthiness). We are confident that they will gain the skills, attitudes, and understanding necessary to be successful 21st Century citizens.
"The Arts" are a focus at North Park. All students in Pre-K to grade 6 have opportunities to show their artistic talents with many of our students participating in weekly beginning/advanced band, chorus, and after school enrichment performing arts programs. Students study famous artists and replicate their great works through our School Wide Art program, which is supported by North Park's award winning PTA.
Parent volunteers are integral to North Park’s success. Parents are encouraged to volunteer in the classroom, participate in school-wide events, and attend meetings of the PTA, School Site Council, and English Language Advisory Committee.
